Plumbing in Gilbert

What we see in Gilbert homes, and how we work here.

Gilbert is one of the four towns we built the company around, and one of the ones we drive to most. Our shop sits on Gilbert Road in Chandler, so a Gilbert address is usually the shortest drive on the board.

The water here is softer than the rest of the East Valley. The Town of Gilbert publishes 8 to 10 grains per gallon, which surprises people who have read 18 on a softener site. It is still hard water. Tanks still scale, fixtures still spot, and a softener still pays for itself, but the timeline is kinder than in Mesa or Chandler.

What we see most in Gilbert: water heaters at the end of a first or second life, slow drains in busy family kitchens, pinhole leaks in copper, and the occasional slab leak in a home that was plumbed under the foundation. We carry the parts for all of it on the truck.

I own an older home, with older home problems. Matt came over and diagnosed the most important issues, without any upsale or pressure. He took the time to discuss things with no rush and then gave me an estimate that was a really fair! Mike came to do the work and he was awesome! He was super friendly and efficient and we are very impressed with the work and service as a whole. Yellowstone is definitely our new plumbing service and would highly recommend!!

We had an amazing experience with Yellowstone Plumbing & Drains on our outdoor kitchen project! From start to finish, they were professional, knowledgeable, fast, reliable, and easy to work with. They made sure everything was done correctly, communicated clearly throughout the process, and paid close attention to every detail. Our outdoor kitchen turned out beautifully, and we couldn't be happier with the quality of the work.

Where can I find an emergency plumber in Gilbert?

Call (480) 404-5226 around the clock, every day. We dispatch to Gilbert from Chandler. Burst pipe, water heater dumping on the garage floor, sewage backing into a tub, no water at all: those go to the front of the line.

While we are on the way, find the main shutoff. In most Gilbert homes it is a valve near the front hose bib or at the meter box by the street. Turning it clockwise stops the water and stops the damage. If the water heater is the problem, turn its gas valve or breaker off too.

Storm season runs June 15 to September 30 in Arizona, and that is when backed-up drains and flooded yards spike. If it can wait until morning we will tell you.

The Town of Gilbert lists 8 to 10 grains per gallon. That is hard by the USGS scale but on the softer end for the East Valley. A softener is still worth it for the water heater and fixtures; a tank in Gilbert water that gets flushed once a year usually lasts longer than one in Mesa.
